Racial Harmony Day

On 21st July, our school celebrated Racial Harmony Day. Because of the flu H1N1 we had to record the concert by digital camera. In the end we watched the concert on a video in the classroom .
The first part of the video was about different kinds of wedding by the Chinese, Indian , Malay and the Eurasian. The first wedding they talked about was the Chinese Wedding , they made a play on how the Chinese wedding was conducted. Then continued by the Indian wedding then the Malay wedding and then the Eurasian wedding.
During recess, there were many diffferent kind of food at the canteen. There were satay, hamburgers , etc. I eat till my heart content.
I find the Eurasian wedding beacause the wedding was very grand and beautiful.

Influenza A (H1N1)

Influenza A (H1N1) is a new strain of influenza virus that spreads from human to human and could spread quickly worldwide-leading to a pandemic flu outbreak.The disease was known as Swine Flu because it has some elements of a virus found in pigs.But the World Health Oraganization(WHO) now refers to it as Influenza A(H1N1).Some countries in Asia such as Philipines, Japan, China, Australia, Taiwan have people with Influenza A (H1N1).We can prevent the spread of this disease by cleaning our hands often, staying home when we are sick, cover our cough and sneeze, clean and disinfect with disinfectant.I think regular taking of temperature is effective against Influenza A (H1N1) because we will know if we are having fever or not and if we are we can go straight away to the doctor and have a check.That's all for this post.Look forward to my next post! :)

Oral Examination

I took my oral examination on Wednesday different from the others because i had to go for my Maths Olympiad on Thurday. Our teacher dismiss us at 1300 and i go to the canteen to have my lunch. at 1325 i went to the hall and settle down. My group was E9 and i was the last one in the group. Slowly and slowly time went by and it was going to be my turn. I felt butterflies in my stomach. Finally, it was my turn, my examiner is Mr Mustaffa he looks scary but it was not that bad. I read the passage of the paper and then described the picture.After the english oral i went on to my chinese oral,the chinese oral examiner turn out to be my own mother tongue teacher. That makes me more nervous!! I went home at about 1540 and sat down in my room drank a cup of ice milo.That's all for this post Bye Bye!!

International Friendship Day

Hi everyone, i'm back with my journal writing. The theme for this year's International Friendship Day is ASEAN. It was created to strengthen the bond of the countries of ASEAN. ASEAN stands for Association of South-East Asian Nations. It consists of ten countries: Myanmar,Thailand,Laos,Vietnam,Philippines,Cambodia,Malaysia,Brunei,Indonesia and Singapore. I like the performance by the Angklung Group, I love their piece of music. The concert for the day was too short, they could get the pupils to perform dances(That's what i think lols).

Learning Journey to Singapore History Museum

On monday 6th april, my class and i went to the Singapore History Museum. This is the first time i'm going to the museum, i always wanted to go but did not have the chance to. At 1.15 p.m, the bus arrived at we went up the bus. During the ride, i felt very excited because it was my first time going to the museum.When we arrived there, a lady gave us all the gadget called The Companion. The Companion gave us information of the artefacts by just pressing down the numbers we saw on the floor.By the way, before going into the Singapore History Gallery, there's a very winding path that we have to turn round and round for two storeys. When we reach the gallery,the place was very dark.The walls and mirrors made me very confuse, i was walking with Nigel and Gabriel and i often knocked onto the walls and mirrors thinking that it was path to the other artefacts. After we are out of the Singapore History Gallery, my teacher split us into two groups, the first group went to the Fashion Gallery and the other went to the Wayang Gallery. I was in the second group. The Wayang Gallery shows the robes they wear when performing the chinese opera. After that, the two groups swap galleries and we went to the Fashion Gallery. After both groups visited the two galleries, the teacher brought us to the Food Gallery, the Food Gallery shows the food the people eat in the past. There are food such as chicken rice and many others. We are allowed to smell some ingredients like coconut and pepper and many more. Many of them don't smell that good. At the end of the day,the teacher gave us a survey on the museum. After completing it, we board the bus and went back to school. All in all, I really enjoy myself at the museum.

Healthy Eating

Hi everyone! I'm back in my post,today i'm going to write about "Healthy Eating". Any idea what do we have to eat in order to be healthy? We must eat nutritious food in order to be healthy like vegetables , meat but with less oil, and fruits everyday. Many adults and children often eat junk food suck as french fries and hamburgers.It is important to eat healthily as eating unhealthy food may cause diseases.Eating unhealthy food may cause diseases such as stroke, diabetes and high blood pressure. Eating fruits and vegetables helps u gain more nutrition , by eating fruit after a meal digests the food u just ate very quickly.I love eating vegetables and fruits!^.^

Earth Hour

Hello Everyone! I'm back in my next journal writing! Today i'm going to write about Earth Hour Hmmm....let me see what exactly is Earth Hour? Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.The last Saturday of March is on the 28th which 3 days from now.Due too 28th of March is my birthday, i will be celebrating my birthday in the dark luckily there's candles!That's all for this post!
